oh man what boat were you in? the American offshore?
We were having Carb issues all day, and killed the batteries trying to start after lunch at the sandbar, decided to get it towed rather than monkeying around with jumpstart etc. Ray is a madman, and will have it running soon, wish I had the Pantera out, the water was nice. Rick |
Get ready - I am going from 2.5s to 3.0 250 XS Sports. All the hardware is different for the hydraulic steering and it's about $4500 for a set. Also, since the 250XS has those umbilical hoses that everything runs through, make sure everything is long enough to go through and will make the new bends.
I am $40k in engines and hardware (no labor included) and I am not on the water yet. |

Years back the first Powerplay inboard was Rigged by Mike Nicholson who also did some of Dan's custom paint work in the early days.

If I ever built a new boat it would get the black hullsides, white deck theme. Oliver's 38 PP was timelessly classic and he copied the theme right off the 35 Playboy that had premiered a couple years earlier. The boat needs very crisp lines to pull it off, if the boat is too rounded out it doesn't look as good. The Powerplays, ATs and Cigs all pull off the look nicely!

Hey Steve...post 1106...did they build the structure in the mold? just wondering as it looks like the bulkheads are not tabbed down yet...i would have thought that would have made for a sloppy fitting later....
