how many twin bb 28 's were made and did they run as good as a single?
Should run pretty good with twin 500's, but not a lot of room in the bilge. |

I believe there's only 2-3 singles, 1 twin OB (or 2, cowisl knows) and the rest of the 12-13 twins, not sure if any were SBC.

Here is my small block 28. I'm suprised how loaded it was with full Latham steering.
Paint is similar to mine, very timeless.:drink: |
I will find one......
Untill then i will keep saving. Because a long enough wait will only mean 33. |

I do also.. My 07 43 NT with 480hp Yanmars and asd-8's did 74.2...at 81 with ...dont know how much hp or size diesels...on the PP... thats pretty good... Loved the boat just had a min. of 80mph I needed to hit....A good project would be 480 yanmars and asd-8's.. or the 480 Cummins and Nxt's....are you ready for July..sometime..:drink:

Jeff the 38 Powerplay I put up had 440 HP Engines and 2 Speeds, the guys said when it shifted the boat would pin you back in the seat.

It runs just at 70 mph. This fall i'm going to build some 500 hp small blocks & try to got it in the low 80's next spring.
I think my single BB has a pretty good balance. Gets on plane quick and seems to fly level. I haven't been in any other 28's though to compare. |
ever install jack plates on the open fish 33'?

I like the sounds of that, I would think the balance with the SBCs would be better than twin BB's. Keep us posted of the outcome.

the 28 is in very nice shape(No I don't know the owner) and was a computer guys boat from atlanta . Almost got it once, about 3 years ago but was outbid. It had 502 efi's in it then but was in super nice shape. 28's are great boats but it's just not the 33'.

I was out a few times last summer in very windy days where a 33 would have been good, a 38 better. Its a bad sign when its a sunny day, and you don't see another boat on the water (other than people idling near shore basically) just because of wind! |
