Default PQ Exhaust Tips?

I have a 97 38 with 500's, external mufflers, no silent choice. What are the tips that PQ was using? The Exhause Manifolds and Pipes are Gill. I see the same kind of tips on many of the late 90's PQ's. I don't really care for them and I want to change them this winter. Also wondering what others are running with this set up. I don't want to be to loud but some bark wouldn't hurt.

Thanks

I had Corsa tips/mufflers (?) on my '99 280, with no Silent Choice. Loud enough that you knew they were there, quiet enough that you could hold a conversation.

My '96 290, with twin 330 hp motors, is noticably louder with the Silent Choice off.

Given a choice, I'd lose the Silent Choice and have muffler tips...

My 98 260 has Corsa tips, no silent choice, also. I like them myself. I agree with dock, loud enough but quiet enough not to have the cops bust them.

I removed my Corsa tips (did not like the look and too quiet) and replaced them with the sraight tips with flappers that Dyno is offering.
They look better IMO and sound better IMO.

Your welcome Dyno

Dyno, Thanks, for the offer on the tips. I'm thinking of going with another set of external mufflers just don't know witch ones. The Corsas are ok just looking for a better rumble and something better looking. I think strait tips may be a little offending at my marina.

Scott, were you tips a biotch to remove? I was looking at them and they look like two studs and some adhesive. It is definitely a winter project.

Mine were cut out, no more external exhaust. They are now modded straight through exhaust. But I still think it is yet restrictive. Looking for a new set.

I thought the corsa mufflers sounded OK with 500's and legally speaking powerquest has to deliver a boat that conforms. However, with silent choice it makes sense to have two extremes available so I pulled my corsa's and installed Eddie marine straight through tips with no burn flappers. Performance improved slightly although hard to really define. Sure wished they had not used 5200. Also, bolt pattern for corsa's wider than some straight through tips due to larger diameter for mufflers. If you shop carefully you may find a set of straight throughs that will match or have a hardware manufacturer make undrilled tips for you witha wider flange.
