So busy taking orders on the F4 they dont have time to go forward with the new building:rolleyes:
I bet the economy has affected Sunsation just like it has almost every other boat builder.

Is it me...or am I in the wrong forum?

Agree so I deleted my post. My apologies for contributing to the hi-jack. Now, let's hope the next post will be of some spy pics from inside PQ showing some boat production!

That was a friend of mines boat, it turned out nice. Only spent a couple of minutes crawling around in it but fit and finish looked great.

Wanted to add, the owner loves the boat. Already has over 20 hours on it!!!!

Sorry guys, only ended up with one picture. Will get some better ones next time I see him, probably next weekend.

jmeng 04-01-2008 06:28 PM

What really surprised me about the boat was how tall it was. Noticably taller than my Outlaw and even taller than 35 and 38 Fountains running with us. Like I said, nice boat.

By the way, he's still trying to sell his 260: http://www.offshoreonlyclassifieds.c...o18341-en.html

Can kind of see it off to the left in this picture. Notice how much taller it is than the 272 Baja next to it.

Official spy pics......nice!!! :D :ernaehrung004: :cool-smiley-026: :Score-101010:

IMO, this is the worst launch of a boat company ever, why wouldnt they even update their website with details. Creating a buzz about a product before it is launched is marketing 101.

The 300 is a big deep V for a 30'.
I feel very safe in my boat.

Fast Forward 04-08-2008 07:17 AM

There's no question they sit tall!. You can pretty much put one next to nearly any other 30' and the Revenge will look much larger.

The 30 they sold does anyone know if thats truly a new hull or a left over from the past?? I would have thought if it were new they would have done some different graphics to help create a new look.

DRIPPINWETII 04-08-2008 08:20 AM

Looks like the same hull to me.

Fast Forward 04-08-2008 11:58 AM

Hull looks the same but lay up should be different if its a new built. Just would have thought they would have done some new graphics to separate themselves from the so call old PQ's.
Wouldn't that make sense?????
Thats why I was wondering if that was a left over 30 that just needed rigging?

I thought someone said it was a leftover that was in mid-build when the factory shut down. Notice the poor owner turned grey waiting for it! :D

Mentalpause 04-08-2008 12:56 PM

Are they still doing the graphics in the gel? Wonder if they plan to keep doing that moving forward or go to paint like most others have done.

PQ moved away from in-gel graphics in the early 2000's and went to paint (Imron, I believe). The 2001 260 I looked at a few years back was paint.

Now thats funny!!

As for the he graphics that time frame sounds right. They've been painting for a while. I wonder if they did the paint or if it was done by the old crew?

I maybe heading up to drop some interior pieces to have recovered so I'll see if they would allow some pics?

powerquest factory

Hey guys, how is it some of you are getting in to the Powerquest factory for upholstery work etc when they dont even answer the phone or return emails? I am a new proud owner of an '03 silencer but man.....this sucks!!! :cool-smiley-027:

Fast Forward 05-05-2008 07:52 AM

I've not had any issues with them answering the phone. Don't bother with the e-mail they don't respond to that. I'd try calling 1st thing in the morning or mid aftrenoon.

verbi69 05-05-2008 11:02 AM

Thanks for the info...is their # 616-772-9474??

verbi69 05-05-2008 11:09 AM

Holly crap......I got through. The ring changes to what seems like a fax tone but I was wrong...they answered!! Thanks again!!

pkspx 05-05-2008 01:09 PM

Looking froward to see the 09 lineup :food-smiley-007:

pkspx 06-19-2008 08:07 AM

Any updates? Now almost July 2008

Shawn D 06-19-2008 09:09 AM

I am sure they are crapping their pants with the current condition of the industry.
I heard someone say it's the "perfect Storm" for boat manufactures. High fuel, low dollar, financing tighter, flooded used market, etc...

If they really want to make it, they need to focus on the overseas markets where the rest of the world wants to be like we were.

enticer 06-19-2008 10:21 AM

I'm surprised that we haven't heard anything. You would think they would jump on ANY board and announce something instead of keeping everyone in the total dark
JB

if only they would feel the same. only thing i saw was one little power boat article about their new comings...

Fast Forward 06-19-2008 04:07 PM

I was going to take some interior down to them but opted to have it repaired instead. $850 v.s $70.

If they make it I'll more than likely have them do the work this winter. I just don't understand the silence...............

verbi69 06-24-2008 10:43 AM

I guess the following they have/ had will be looking for a new manufacturer when it comes to purchasing a new unit......tired of fealing like a mushroom!!:cool-smiley-011:

Powerquest340 07-22-2008 02:24 PM

pq

I stopped in the factory with my dad on saturday to ask about a new gaffrig guage for his vyper. The new owner was there and we talked to him for awhile. They are going to produce, but need to settle things first. The old owners left him a mess, and he is looking at some new designs. The stuff he wants to do is brilliant and will definately be a great turn for powerquest. Dont get me wrong, I love my Vyper and wouldnt change a thing about it, but there are some definite improvements coming.

Pete280 07-22-2008 09:31 PM

did you mention that people are losing interest and they really need to talk to their loyal PQ owners?

Powerquest340 07-23-2008 07:56 AM

He is talking to loyal pq owners. He took us through all the new designs and asked us for our opinions and all the new changes, and they were AWESOME! I know people may be losing interest, but they are trying to re enter the market with a bang. They need to start out strong in order to sell boats in the economy, which will take some time. Give them a little time and they'll be producing again. I hope my dad's company picks up so we can get a new one.

Or they are looking at the current economy and are in no hurry to re-enter until they see some signs of stability.

Someones gotta have some deep pockets to float that dead horse all this time. Wish them the best as I am a fan of the PQ's..
