Re: Powerquest Factory
OK 357 Lets hear it, whats going on at PQ!!!
|
Re: Powerquest Factory
Cue sound of crickets chirping.... Mr. 357 is long on generalizations and "I heard it from a guy who knows someone's cousin that is friends with the next door neighbor of a guy who's sister slept with a dude's wife who was bopping the pool boy of one of the old owners, and he said...." but short on details. Surprise.

Re: Powerquest Factory
Boatnt............ I have heard rumor that the factory may open back up but it supposively won't be in michigan and maybe in missouri???? There is no one around there that I have seen and normally go past there 2 to 3 times a day and see no action. 357SR1MAN

Re: Powerquest Factory
357 If you have something constructive to say that's fine. Otherwise keep the wise A$$ remarks to yourself. As you may not have noticed this site was put togeather as a source for good information and for people with same interest to gather. Not a place for child like bashing. If that's all you can contribute find somewhere else to hang out.

Re: Powerquest Factory
Macklin, Did you get a hold of Rick??? I know Great Lakes Marina was planning on taking the 2006 Boats they had to the Detroit show. I would think they wouldn't waste the time if they didn't believe they wouldn't re-open.

That would be great if they have not sold yet. Hopefully someone on here can get you the correct info, and good luck. It would be great to see PQ back in action. If you get it keep us posted. If you have any questions I can help with just PM me. Rich. |
Re: Powerquest Factory
I had Ricks cell phone as well last summer but the heck if I can find it.

Re: Powerquest Factory
I looked at a 97 Avenger yesterday and was very impressed, I'm really thinking of buying it. What do you guys think? Will this hurt the resale value? Thanks, JB

I sell my 99 if your interested. Rich. |
Re: Powerquest Factory
I'll agree with Rich as far as no bearing on the resale value. Thats a beautiful well built boat with lots to offer than most performance boats don't offer.

Re: Powerquest Factory
I own a 2001 280 Silencer and really hated to hear that PQ went out of business. I'm very pleased with my boat and would not hesitate to buy another one.
My boat has some stress cracks on the swim platform, but that was caused by backing into the dock a little too hard! I've been under my boat several times cleaning it and have yet to see a crack on the step or anywhere else on the bottom of the boat. Sure hope that PQ opens back up, and even if they don't I have no problem buying a used one. Hopefully one day I will be able to move up to the 34 footer. |
Re: Powerquest Factory
All,
I just noticed that the Powerquest website is back up. Still looks the same, but maybe this is a good sign. Tim |
Re: Powerquest Factory
Good news - any of you folks that go by the plant regularly seeing any activity these days.
|
Re: Powerquest Factory
All,
After trying the site out, everything is back but the pricing and options part. These sections will not load. This is a good sign. Tim |
Re: Powerquest Factory
Phone and email still down... I even tried the fax #
|
Re: Powerquest Factory
The website coming back up has to account for something good! Or possibly the check cleared finally   . Sorry I had too :D
Really I would think that's a positive sign that something is in the works. |
Re: Powerquest Factory
Good news coming soon!!!!!! :D :D :D

Re: Powerquest Factory
Sorry wasn't trying to hold out. Just heard good news is around the corner and with luck the doors may be back open in a couple weeks. I don't have a lot of details, but based on all the rumors and negative comments I wanted throw out some good news for a change. The website was a true indicator something was going on.
|
Re: Powerquest Factory
YEA KNOCK THAT CRAP OFF!!!
Just kidding  I thought it was nice to hear something positive for a change :D Looks to me PQ has one of the strongest followings on OSO, no way will they be down for long!! :drink: |
Re: Powerquest Factory
All,
They added in something new today. Go to the website and click on build my boat, they have left us a message. It appears the Powerquest is BACK IN BUSINESS!!!! Tim |
Re: Powerquest Factory
That is very good news!
|
Re: Powerquest Factory
With hope we'll have a PQ Rally again and it would be great to see a record turn out to show support! Or better yet get that check book out and order that new boat!!!
|
Re: Powerquest Factory
I was planning on coming to the earlier Smoke on the Water Poker run this summer. Any of you guys attend?
|
Re: Powerquest Factory
I went up simply to hang out and watch all the boats pull in the South Haven stop. Thought about running but at $1,000. the wife wasn't to excited. We did make it to the rally but arrived a little late so we missed running with everyone . And unfortunely left after the raffle due to the weather. All in all a good time with fellow PQ owners. Great Lakes Marina did a great job.
|
Re: Powerquest Factory
Wow... Did not realize it was that much to enter. Looks like alot of fun but I don't think it is in my budget this year.
