I recently purchased a 280 SC, and am looking for help/suggestions. It has twin 350's with Bravo 1's running 21 degree props. It was set up with both props spinning in, which was ok when it's calm but would run terrible in any kind of chop. The port side would ride high, and the boat would pull to the left. This past weekend, we swapped the props so that they are both spinning out, which seemed to help. Has anyone experienced this with the 280?
The other thing I'm noticing is that the boat has a tendency to porpoise a bit after hitting a wake and takes a while to settle back in. I've played with the drives and tabs to try and correct this with out much success. I've started to wonder if this boat would benefit from Bravo 3's or maybe running 4 blade props instead of 3. Any thoughts?
