Hey guys I need some prop guidance.

My 280 has the 496 ho 26 pitch labbed bravo 1.
w.o.t. is 5200 rpm, mph on the speedo shows 68.-real sluggish out of the hole!

This weekend I tried a 24 pitch Bravo 1-not labbed finished -w.o.t. is 5300rpm, mph on the speedo showed 64 mph-better acceleration but with lost top end.

Question- what would be a better prop to run? Labb finish to the 24?

Flat pitch (also called flat blading) the labbed 26 and lose some cup, this should drop your RPM's a tad bit and increase your speed.


If you lab the 24, you'll over rev - thus the 26 is about as good as it gets.

Call Brett @ Bblades and let him know what I recommended. He'll know what to do.

Thanks for the info....will the speeds pick up on the 26 because of rpm drop- and getting more into the power range??
