That sucks! LOL! Oh well, Im kind of impulsive when it comes to these small purchases (I only paid $275 shipped for the Mirage Plus).
What 4 blade did you go with? Bravo? Im sure you are better out of the hole and in midrange but how is your top speed? Did RPM's drop (Im assuming you kept the same pitch)?

I went with a bravo 1 4 blade 24p, and instantly fell in love with it. Better performance everywhere, 2-3 mph more at all rpm with same rpm as before side by side. I got about 1 mph increase overall.
Yes, I went from 4800 rpm to 4500 rpm. I sent it to bblades for $375 to be labbed to get the rpm back. I got it to 4600, with no real speed change. I've emailed them about it, haven't heard anything back.
If I had to do it all over again, I would save the lab money. They weren't able to do anything with the loss of rpm, really I just need more HP to turn that thing another 200 rpm if I'm going to see anything.
Thinking about turning my 496 mag into the HO over the winter. Not sure if the 50 HP will get me the 200 rpm or not.
I should just leave it alone, but I've always had problems doing that.

RPM is my biggest concern...with a 454 Mag EFI Im supposed to be running at 4600-5000 RPM and right now am below that range at 4500. I also think Ive lost some top end with the Hydromotive prop as well (anywhere from 2-3 mph over the 21P Mirage I was running).
Is your 23P Mirage Plus labbed or stock? I would love to hook up one day and tryout your Bravo 1 prop and Mirage Plus...Since I had my engine rebuilt last summer and replaced the drive Ive just been searching for the right prop and so far its eluded me.

Let's wait until september. I'm on a lift right now for a little longer. I live right north of coulon, your welcome to try either one when things settle down. You know, all the blazing heat we have had this summer.

holy ****!!
I got a chance to tryout my new 23p Mirage Plus....one word: WOW!! Not only did my RPM's increase from 4500 to 5100 but my speed increased from 57 MPH to 63 MPH!! It feels like a whole new boat! She revs like a raped ape! Couldn't be any happier! The Hydromotive Quad 4 is clearly NOT the right prop for our Legends...I'm going to be putting mine up for sale.

I ran a Mirage plus in both 23p and 21p on my 26 . In deed it was a great prop and I tried everything else under the sun. But the Hydromotive was the mack daddy on my 26. It turned better numbers all the way around plus the handling of the boat was much better. Could come down to drive and engine wear, humidity, altitude and a number of other things.
