Hey, does anyone have xr lowers for sale??
Really just need the housings but will buy them complete>

PQ29- the first link fits the 290
PQ260- the second one fits the 280 and the 300, it tapers up in the rear

No, when I was washing and waxing the boat getting it ready for its winter sleep I noticed that there was a crack running the length of the bottom of the bullet.
I have no idea how long it has been like that.
I'm wondering if this a weldable repair or if I should change out the case??

Any water not able to drain out of the case can freeze, expand and split the case.

Mike, was the oil milky when drained? If cracked for very long water could be drawn in as the drive cools. Look for corrosion on the internals. If you don't know how the crack happened be sure to check everything to make sure you're not just fixing a result instead of a cause.
