Looked at that boat 2 yrs ago when working in Austin, TX. The graphics had been repainted to cover up a painted name on the side of the boat. Paint quality was very poor, lots of overspray. Otherwise, it appeared to be in average condition. Engines were 502's, not blue motors.

I was scared away due to the lack of engine access for maintenance. Went with the 380 instead.

Yeah,,I called and talked to the guy Saturday,,he was real vague answering my questions,he did tell me he had the name removed and repainted, could not remember if the complete boat was painted or just the graphics,he said the white was painted but he could not remember if the deck was also painted, not sure about hours,,he said when he bought the boat it would do around 80 on speedo not GPS but now boat is comfortable running 65,(not sure what that means)

Cory H 05-05-2014 10:31 AM

If I recall, it was in the graphics and not done by a professional for sure. Upholstery was excellent, motors looked clean, cabin clean. I was concerned about shoddy paint work and if something was being covered up. He owned a used car lot if I recall, but i could be wrong, that was 2yrs ago!

At that price there is lots of budget room for a nice visit to MitcherT and a good going over!!!!

Drock78 05-05-2014 05:23 PM

Mitcher T = 15k for a full paint job

Agreed,

Put a pair of the new 1350's in there. Then we will have our 1000 hp per side Powerquest boat.

at the very least a 35 Fountain

venmous28 07-22-2014 03:08 PM

I'd love to just have the 05 brochure...

PROWRENCH 10-16-2014 05:25 PM

Couldn't let this gem get too many pages back...
So I pulled the drives on the 300 to check the u-joints and gimbles. Everything's perfect, but putting new bearings in anyway. I'm also, going to buy the stainless sea pumps, add another sub, and probably underwater led's, and some more cockpit led's. All this and I might list it in the spring, who knows. Thinking bigger.
Anyone else doing anything interesting?

Questofpower 10-16-2014 07:37 PM

That's cool, not doing anything interesting but I am changing the coolant in the 496's HO's it was fine in color but freeze protection was only -10, so time to change it out.

It wasn't has bad I thought it was going to be, got them out pretty easy and just held a shop vac there until they were done dripping. Moved the batteries and the hatch lift.

the starboard drain on the port motor was a pain for me to get to..

Questofpower 10-17-2014 08:24 PM

Same motor but port side was the hardest for me, not sure if all revenages have them or not but in front of the port motor I have a pretty deep box that stores the anchor and some fenders, it is almost the width of the platform and I am not small enough to fix between it and the port side of the boat. It makes working on anything on the port motor, port side interesting. I for the life of me can't find the screws that hold it place. I swear they carpeted the thing after they put it in.

Pwraddr 10-18-2014 10:34 AM

Here are my updates:

- fix my toilet
- new GPS speedo
- drives looked at
- repair latch on fridge
- all new stereo - already ordered it all
- get a few paint spots fixed
- new props
- change halogen cabin lights to LED - too hot for my daughter
- repair zipper on gunwhale

That's it, then ready for Florida in February.

Mine doesn't have that. I actually made a box out of UHMW plastic that screws to the rear seat that holds anchors and sand sharks. I can definitely see where yours would change things in the otherwise wide open 300 engine compartment.

I am pretty sure someone added it, it looks good and like it is in place but I wish I could take it out sometimes. One of these days I am going to get mad enough at it and I will have some holes to fill and shinny new mounting hardware.

Thebossbultsma 10-18-2014 09:05 PM

Well today I just pulled outdrives off
Motors come out tomorrow.
350 sbc was in it
Building 383 sbc going from 260 hp to 400+ hopefully.

Then other upgrades will be repainting the billage and switching all my lights to leds.

Hey guys. Since it's been so dead in here lately I thought I would share a few pics with you of my boat. Mitcher T just finished it up. Boat is now all white. Took all of the branding off of it and we tinted the windshield with a 20% tint. Took about 4 weeks total.

Looks good. Thought you were selling it??

NKissau 11-11-2014 04:38 AM

I would love to sell it, but there seems to be no market for our boats right now and the gel coat was shot on the boat. So I figured fresh paint was a good selling point and if I keep it, cleaning it will be a whole lot easier.

AJ POWERPLAY 11-11-2014 11:45 AM

Powers should be all over it! White looks sharp for sure!
