I received the table last week, I ordered the base, stand, and table bracket from fisheries, but parts are on back order should be 2-3 more weeks. By then I should have all the help from everyone else, with their tables being all done. Thanks for posting the pictures on the table great idea. Please show how you are going to drill the hole in the floor. Thanks.

With a big M-F'in hole saw! LOL!
Seriously, I'm buying a 3 1/4" hole saw at Home Depot, but what concerns me is the reinforcement 'webbing' on the table base. I'll have to make some extra cuts.
I'm also thinking to remove the carpet where the base goes (not just install over top) so it fits very flush to the floor...

Hey Fellas!
Been tied up cleaning the boat.
I wouldn't try to cut the carpet around the base...it fits and looks nice over the top of the carpet IMO. Good luck trying to trim the carpet around it...not being an a hole...it will be tough and probably come up.
Next, I was going to use a smaller hole saw too and make the extra cuts but after more assessing I decided to buy a 6 inch hole saw....glad I did. With a 6 inch hole you have an 1/8 of an inch all the way around to adjust as needed.
When I cut the hole I realized there is a reinforcement piece dead center of my hole. Interesting thing is that PQ had it notched out for the base and covered over with glass and resin. I had to trim that out so it would sit deep enough in the hole. Once I got the notch cleared of the glass I sealed the wood with some poly just to be safe. I also sealed the floor hole too around the edge.
I moved my table one inch to the port side also. My reasoning was that the cabin is a bit smaller on a Vyper so it would be easier to slide in the starboard side if there was a touch more room. So before you ask how it affects the short pole for the bed I'll tell ya. It doesn't. It's only an inch so with the cushion on you never know.
I had to cut my pole down for the bed as I couldn't find the right size. What I did was made it level with both side wood under the cushions on the couches.
When I mounted the base I also lined it up so 2 scews went into the reinforcement board under the ply wood.
As Verbi (unsure his real name) said it is not extremely stable and I wouldnt run the boat with the table in place.
Overall, I love it....I didn't want to do it, my wife did...you know how it goes. Best addition so far.
Things left:
1- get a cushion made. I'll do this in a couple weeks, not a huge priority now.
2- this one surprised me. The big v berth storage that houses the table and components is not big enough to hold it as seen in Verbi's pics. I will need to modify the hole opening and make a new cover. That will be next winter. Not a huge deal but I won't waste boating time to do it.
Something my Dad noticed. You can store both poles behind the port and stbrd couch cushions. Put them all the way back and slide the cushion in, plenty of room.
Hope this helps. I took pics after I cut the hole if anyone is interested.

Alright I cut the screws for the table screwed them into the table inserts, used a lock washer and nut like the one you showed. Do I need to lock tight the studs into the table inserts? Don't seem that you can tighten down the nuts too much. Also Iam thinking of cutting a 3 1/2 inch hole in the floor then I can cut slots in the floor for the base webbing, Is that what you did Need4speed ?
Thanks, Mark
Thanks, Mark
