Ya, it would have, we pulled alot of weight out of the boat by going to infusion on the hull and deck along with changing to composite materials in spots. not to mention the addressing issuses the 380's had in the small parts fitting right and air flow to the bilge. one of the goals was to make a 496 boat go the speeds of a 525 boat. Reguardless all pq were great built boats hence why you see so many repeat costomers such as youself. I just hope the right person comes forward before this gets torn apart to pieces.
Anyway, really sad if someone doesn't make honest attempt with PQ...the brand loyalty is still here.

Agree, hate to see it liquidated like this. Even if someone was able to win all the auctions there is still the issue of obtaining the trademark. Cant imagine that is included in any of the auctions if it wasn't mentioned.

Even being a Baja guy, I am a true boat enthusiest and also hate to see this happen. I feel for you guys and hope someone gets the entire operation and makes boats again. But that seems like a far cry, so at least someone can pick up a lot of the little parts people might need to sell over the years. Us Baja guys have XT Inovator to help with a lot of the Baja stuff, plus Baja is sorta still in business, like that matters or not! LOL!
If I had the money I would...especially since its so close to home. Think they will take my paid off boat for trade even up??? lol!

LOL! I don't care if that was a compliment or a joke, but it was funny either way!!! Thanks (I joke around a lot on here and some people take it to seriously but its all good) If I save enough for surface drive and hit 105+ I might agree!
Honestly without spending millions on new tooling etc powerquest actually will never be profitable, just like many other boat companies. There are plenty of used boats floating around for people in our budget. New boats are covered by Outerlimits, Nor Tech, Cig, etc. With the new center counsel craze, etc. People with money want speed, center counsel, or a cruiser. The rest of us get to pick up one of the many good deals on used, and I am fine with that!

Thanks for the plug! Baja closed in Ohio in 2008, and I like to say i'm over it, but I never probably will since it was 24 years of my life.
I would like to put together a road trip with anyone that wants to go to the action from Ohio. Maybe Brain41, glassdave, WOTW2E, and some Checkmate Marine people. Has anyone ever put together the percentage of builders IN business vs. the builders NOT in business on the OSO section.
