Default prop change

I have a '94 290 Enticer w/ Twin 502's. I've had the boat for about a year now, and it has 23" mirage props. The boat runs top end at 76 mph on gps. If anyone knows what a better prop set up would be, I would greatly appreciate some ideas. I would love to be able to get closer to the 80 mph. mark! Thanks!

What rpm are you running at WOT??? If you are close to the Wot rating of your engine you could try running labbed 25 mirage props. Don't go to 4 blade props unless you are having planing or handling problems. With the labbed 25's I would think you should be close to 80 MPH. If you are running under the WOT rating by 200-300 rpm just lab the 23 and you should gain 300 rpm and about 3 mph.
GOOD LUCK

Thanks for the info! I do run at 4600 rpm. wot. so I will have to try a set of 25" labbed props.

@ 4600 WOT, you'd be better off labbing your 23's

I agree You want those engines up around 5000 to 5100 rpm.

Lab the 23,s and you should be at 4900 to 5000 rpm and gain 3 mph.
