Question '03 300 Revenge

I found a '03 300 Revenge. It has 496 HO's for power. Anyone own one of these boats? Is there enough room to spend the night on it once in awhile? Is the porto-potti under the bed?

I took one of these for a drive awhile back with 6.2's and it seemed like it took some time to get it up on plane. The 496's should make this fly I am guessing.

Quality pretty good? From reading the posts, this is not a problem and customer service seems pretty good.

Thanks for any input.

Dave

I have seen a few up close, never rode in one and I must say it is a BIG 30' boat.

496's would be the way to go

There was one for sale down in Florida @ about 100K with the 496's.

I would think 496's would get it up to 80. It is a roomy boat, the head is under the vee berth and there is penty of room to overnight.
PQ's quality is top notch and customer service is even better. If I were in the market for a 30' boat, the Revenge would be a no brainer purchase.

I owned a 99 34' vyper for a couple of years with 502mpi motors, the quality of the boat was great, customer service was good, my only complaint with the boat was that coming out of the water the boat was a pig, prop changes, prop rotations, nothing we could do ever really made that issue good, my marine mechanic at the time told me that the stepped hull design that they used was the problem, it helped midrange/top speed but a total dog on the bottom, very similar to the one under my 02 292 fastech with twin small blocks, again,,,not a rocket coming out of the water..

Nick,

We took an '03 with 6.2's for a cruise this past summer. My only complaint was that it did seem to take quite some time to get on plane. After getting there though, it was a sweet ride.

That seems to be a problem with step hulls. I test drove a Formula and a Fountain, and they were dogs out of the hole. I think it has to do with the higher x dimention that step hulls usually run. My 260 on the other hand is a beast out of the hole That's the trade off for the extra top end. A 280 Powerquest with the same power is as fast or a little faster than my boat with the same power
