I like the towels who are they from, the misses or your daughter? It looks like you have picked the main colors for it.

They are incredibly thick, about 1 inch. First time I washed 2 of them right after I got them it took about 2 hours for 2 to dry. I can bring one out if you go out by your boat sometime this winter to have a few cold ones. You will like them.

OK, let me try this again. Check it out! I was just given this helo pic from our last poker run. It was taken by Reckless' brother who got to ride in the chopper to help out the photographer. He took some pics when he was able to. He said this one was one of the best on the roll. I would agree.

PWRQST - thanks for the compliments on the graphics. It took some work to get it just right but I think everything turned out great (THANKS PQ!). The deck graphic was done by a local guy when I sent him the logo with the color mods that I did myself. If you want a copy email me.

Anybody hear of Houston Propeller? Boating Mag has an article this month where they took a mirage 3 blade and improved performance in acceleration and top end (gaining 3 mph) while not impacting the handeling. They are trying to get a patent on the process they are calling the Accelerator. They cut the weight by 50%, add 2 degrees of rake and some cup at the tip. Cost = $340.

Thoughts/Comments?

They are well known. If you search on them on this site you will find lots of references to them. You may want to post something int he general or technical thread and ask if anyone has worked with them, and their experience. My bet is you will hear all good things. My understanding is you call them and tell them what you want (speed, midrange efficiency etc) and they will tell you trade offs and you decide. I may consider going to them on the new boat rather than buying lab finished from Merc. Maybe I should post a thread

Hey Macklin it looks like there's some action going on in the back seat of that helo shot of yours. Appears your guest pax were taking advantage of the sea-state while you were eyes straight....

Some things happen and are not posted on the board maybe out of respect for someones bad judgment or many other reasons

I have been on this board a long time and read a lot I also know a lot of people off the board and we all share our experiences. With that said I would not recommend Houston Propeller.

The best service I have found so far came from Throttle Up they seem very professional and have nice modern equipment to do the job as precise as possible.
They also offer an MRI shot of your prop so that when a blade goes flying off when you hit that big rock an exact duplicate can be made of your favorite prop. The MRI also gives a nice reference point for dialing in to get that perfect prop.

I noticed some other thread on hear about lowering the drive with spacers and that info came from Throttle Up! This would NOT be my first choice to solve a possible blow out problem when coming up on plane. The over all performance would suffer. If it was me I would call PQ and discuss X Dimension and prop selection in great detail before waisting time trying to do what they have already proven to not work very well.
