yes, he sold PART of it, but is apparently still operating the manufacturing part. The new owner wants to say Randy has nothing to do with the business when it is convenient, but says Randy is deeply involved when that is convenient. As of very recently he was still running things.

I just hope the new owners find some integrity. I still wonder if the new owner is just a front for Randy to duck responsibility for some pretty serious stuff. It sure looks like it to me, and several others, including several folks who are extremly close to them.

All those guarantees Randy made about life time hull warranty and the like are gone, Randy and Debbie are trying to make sure no one will be able to demand that from them, and the new owner is very fast to deny any possible claims from the "old" company. But the second company is quick to try and cash in on the name of the first.

There is still and active Profile in Iowa. The new owner says he bought the name, but Randy also owns the name, both are operating under it, when one screws up the other jumps in and tried to quiet the complaint. I can't find any legimate claim to the new company being legit.

From my interaction with him it looks like the new owner is not going to upgrade the integrity of the company any.

Personally, I think Randy screwed a lot of people and needed to get out, and this is how he plans on doing it.

I am comfortable I will come out in the end, the evidence is over whelming. The invoice says "paint hull, add yellow and orange graphics" it came back with a Grey vinyl strips and a hull that was the texture of a concrete wall. More than a dozen people saw the engine, cuddy, and engine compartment come back frozen, but they swore in an signed affidavit they winterized the boat, it is INSANE how badly the facts stack against them. One of the body shops is a internationally known shop, when he saw it the first time he ask "did you paint the boat, in the rain, with a spray can", it was that bad.

So I just have to keep driving to get it into a court room, and they have to just keep driving to delay. But the longer they delay, the longer I keep telling this story. They have already tried the "slander" charges and the attornies said telling the truth is not slander, so it blew up on them. I am sure they have a few tricks up their sleeve too, but I have plenty of my own, and enough money to finish it.

I am at the point now I just assume pay more than I can win just to see it to its natural conclusion. It is not about money any more.

I found it every evedent that it was not about the money for you long ago.I can only wish I could have done the same years ago. I also wish I had outlets like OSO back then to help me not make the mistake of trusting him when I did. I have always said that the only good thing that came from getting Profiled is that on the way home from my LAST trip to Summner was that I met Pat from Active Thunder and the rest is history. don't give up the good fight and give'em a jab for the rest of us that got Profiled long ago.

Yes, very glad I started a thread before I got a ticket to test drive a new one, didn't know the history of the company.

But with any product, I am sure there is some good ones and some really bad ones.............

Maybe in time the "new owners" can rebuild their reputation by turning out some quality boats and stand behind the product that they produce.

So far I have lots of indications the new names of the people being added to the mix are just more of the same. Birds of a feather thing.

The little stunt of one side playing defense for the other left a REAL bad impression. The lies did not help. Having to educate their attorney on the WHOLE story only made it worse.

But as mentioned, they did build some nice boats, as long as you never have to deal with the owners someone could get a decent boat.

As obvious by this whole thing, they are not that smart either, it would have been a WHOLE lot cheaper to settle this and put out this fire, and it is obvious they can not possibly win if this ever gets to a jury of 12 normal people.

yes, lots of them, as well as receipts for correct work, multiple shops who made statements of condition, all that. We went through TWO dispute resolutions where everything was put on the table and both found 100% in my favor. During that process the boat had not yet been repaired, so it was VERY easy to create a bullet proof document trail. The facts are the oldest and most widely agreed upon part of the whole mess.

Background, the boat came apart, I retained them to put it back like it was, and do a lot of up grade work, it came back a horror story. They ran the credit card with out authorization, I tried to resolve with them but could not. I protested the credit card, there was a dispute case opened, everyone presented facts, Visa found in my favor. They ask for a second go around, we put all facts on table again, Visa found in my favor again. I was still out a lot of money, but figured I would drop it and go on. THe the SOB's sued me, AFTER the supposed transfer from Randy to new guy. RANDY and DEBBIE signed as owners of Profile in January 2006, the sale supposedly took place in November 2005. That is when I went off the deep end.

After they sued me the "new guy" shows up and starts the "you can not say anything negative about me because it is slander". That is how they play the game. Just this time they underestimated my ability and willingness to spend money to see this to the end.

So the facts have already been heard twice by a neutral arbitration board, and both times the facts were found overwhelmingly in my favor. This is just another go around with the same facts.

At this point they have sued me for $7K, I have counter sued for $25K plus damages, and I have spent about $8K on legal cost, and if I have to spend $30K more I will, that decision has already been made.
