pm otis311 on here the 5 blades made his bow push on the same boat with about the same hp...i'm sticking with the 4 blades, I'll be around 600-625, 2000 straight hull w/ xr's.

I was at 73 last year, extended covergirl with 500 efi's xrs and half tanks gas. otis got rid of his boat. I have 26 4 blade now. I have talked to Brett about setup and our boats dont need stern lift. you can also pm Craig Barrie, he designed the Tiger and can give you starting points as well. No one I have spoken to has had a bad ride with the 4 blades. GLH has a set of 30 labs for XR, which I think has the same shaft as your imco.

Heard the same thing about Otis's Tiger plowing with the 5 blades, he could not get the rev high enough, my amateur guess is to much stern lift.

My guess is your slip will be way above 10% more like 15-17%. Also with 750HP and a 1.5 ratio you will need all of 32's if not labbed 34's...I would get them from Throttle Up, Julies and Matt have done great work for me.

I have not dynoed but for your information i was out today in 1.5' to2' chop and hit mid 83's on gps with 32" non labbed Bravo 4 blades at around 5250 rpm running a 1.5 ratio Bravo XR's.

Phil Lipshutz has told me and I have observed since then that these boats are very sensitive to weight up front. He mentioned that an extended cover girl costs easily 2 mph and I would agree with that since DPT boats here on the Lake with an extended CG cabine and we compare notes all the time.

He runs 28's currently and is underpropped we saw 77 mph at 5300 rpm / 1.5 XR's last Friday the rig had some left in it and the whole population of Vermont was in the boat with a lot of gas. He will try my 30" labbed and we will see where he ends up. His milled are dynoed at 697 HP at 5600rpm.

If you want the fastest ride possible do not load any weight forward.

My guess if you have 750hp and you find the right props is around 86mph any more than 750 and your 1.5 ratio might not be adequate...

All the speeds mentioned here are GPS and props are 4 blade Bravos.

Stock they were Merc 600SC's

They have been rebuilt to 509ci from 502.
CR went from 7.5 to 8.1
Added Superchillers and pushing about 5.5lbs of boost.

I would PM Otis he has a set of props that with our MB700s went 82mph on the gps they were the fastest props we had on the boat we ran some 5 blade hydros and had good performance but some porpusing and we also ran some 4 blade bravos which were awesome but only 77 -78 the props he's got were labed for a race boat and they were the best on the Tiger maybe he's still has them if you're making that power those are the props you need. best of luck
