I was actually getting 9.2% with the 3 blade 25p M+s so I think my hull is just pretty efficient. And that was using 23.5P for the 24p B1s. not bad huh!
As for improvement.. I would probably like to get them labbed, gain the 300 or so rpms from labbing and then take some back by increasing pitch to get my cruise efficiency and still run up to 5k.
Definitely an improvement over the m+ 3 blades... feels more connected to water, more stable at stern and trim responds like its mechanical as it relate to bow rise. touch trim and bow comes up. Had same effect that I experienced with the 4blade on my 25ol.

1/2 fuel and Just me in flat a$$ water.. no breeze.. :-(

Planed nicely, but i am not hard on sticks so never push them hard to get up even w/ M+'s
3500 @ 45mph
3700 @ 49mph
4000 @ 53mph
48-4900@64mph
Actually P was 4800 and S was 4950.
No blow out in turns, trim had good feel and was able to actually trimout. Definitely more stable than IN.
Using 23.5 p, getting 10.7 slip which leaves some room for improvement.
Odd thing was the S motor was about 2-300 rpms off through most of throttle range. Not sure if I cause but I took helm control out and spun connector on and got it within 1-200. Was never off when i spun IN but I did notice the center wire in the dist cap was not seated and pushed it in the length of a connector, but I was idling back in at that point.
Could that have caused the loss of rpms??
When I changed the throttle position to match, I could hear it hum like it normally does when in sync so i don't think its the gauges as idle up to 2k is still the same????

Now to decide what the next move is.. fix blade and lab for what results?? Seems you can't get gains on both mid and wot, so i will have to call Brett to discuss.. depends where I can pick up the most speed without sacrificing my current speeds at cruise and at wot.

Brett mentioned that.. Main goal is cruise but labbing for mid range would not improve top end and vv. Was hoping to up pitch a tick for cruise and gain a lil on top end with Baja cup etc. My 25m+ rode 3500 @ 50 which was nice, the 24s are not too bad at 3700 @ 49 and 1 prop slips a lil more which needs work anyway to match.
Maybe b/c my slip is already pretty good??
**UPDATE**
Just got off the phone with Brett and seems depending on the condition of the props could gain in cruise and WOT... Not finished using boat yet, so if kids don't have any other medical emergencies this winter, we should be good to go!

Ok, not a very good day to test props, but hey, we were on the water.
Had 2 more adults and 2 kids. ~ 550 extra lbs of ppl
70 degrees and water was glass!! I thought it was flat last time but this was smooth.
Overall props felt good, felt the bite from the props and laid over in turns smooth without trimming down.
Didn't really get a chance to open her up. But here's what she did..
Rpms matched and didn't need as much trim to find sweet spot where I stopped gaining speed.
Climbed up at 2300!
3800 at 50
Pushed it up to 4700 for a sec and went around 62-63.
Didn't want to trim out b/c kids were playing around walking around in the cuddy. But went to 4700 as soon as I pushed the sticks. Considering that is about where she went with just me before and trimmed the f$&k out and now with extra weight in boat and neutral trim.
Cruise was where I wanted to be and I didn't lose any with lambing so without the extra weight and a lil chop, which is normally how the lake is and I should gain over stock at cruise...
To be cont.
Also changed oil, it was pretty dark in both, also have some royal purple to put in drives.

Keep trimming. You will pick up speed. Some of the benefits of the labbing for example will be more trim at a given RPM/speed (and no porpoise) thats where you will see some benefit. The props will carry the hull and bow differently thereby getting less wetted surface. Its not all about prop cup, rake, pitch and speeds at the same trim...
Start trimming it more at midrange and then at WOT you should get significantly more trim.
Another quick tip. Start being at least a smidge scientific - LOL Always use the same scenario: only the usual junk in the cuddy (tools) and 1/2 tank gas with 2 people. It all really makes a difference unless your scenario is different every time.
LOL, I do understand though. When I put my new engines in I never really ran the boat hard for 2-3 months. Just the excitement of a day on the boat with friends was more important than the speed or "more" speed. I just wanted to get out there.

Lol, it started out that way, I originally was supposed to go run it by myself, but then wife decided they would come and her dad's been wanting to go for a ride. On the chance had to open it up which was almost back to the bayou that heads to landing. We had swells that came from some where and we were chasing them and had slight porpoise as we passed them so when I pushed the throttles, it kept doing it and kids were standing at sink. Didn't want to start trimming at that point so I shut it down.
Oh well, we got to take a right and also proved my vinyl graphic project wouldn't peel off in the water like the wife kept telling me!

More tab. Offshoreexcoursion and JayTee will probably agree, the 33 likes tab and lots of trim. My boat runs best trimmed to the sky with more tab. It is counterproductive in your brain (dragging a lot of tab) but they run good like that. At 55/60 MPH I trim about 75% of what I trim at WOT with just a hair of trim and it doesnt porpoise - if it starts to I just trim down a hair till it stops then trim right back. As you drive more you will see the 33 actually is a surgical instrument... you just dont realize it yet! LOL

That does sound odd, I actually tried running in neutral to extend hull. Logically it should lift the wetted surface by dragging some tab and trimming up... I will definitely try it next time out now that I have the extra rake/cup to aide in lifting bow.
