Thanks guys for all the complements.
For this summer I think she staying the way it is. Right after x-mas the wife and I were almost killed buy a semi going to the cabin. We both looked at each other and said we need a bigger/safer vehicle. With building a pole shed at the cabin this spring/summer and now doing a 12v cummins swap into a excursion I think I will be pushing my luck to get the LS1 into the pontoon.
Maybe late fall when things settle down.

Great build! Great job of scavenging parts, too.
For those who don't know it, pontoons are the hottest selling boats now, and are literally saving the boating industry.
I love the hydrofoil idea, and that you gained a whopping 10 mph. That's huge, especially for a device so simple and inexpensive.
Keep us posted!

Not to take away from you cool build but long as the thread is on pontoon boats i will add this link. I was reading about this company in Professional Boatbuilder magazine .
Kind of a new twist to a pontoon boat. . Not really my cup of tea for a Toon as it lacks a a lot of utilitarian and ease of care that we need down in SW Florida with our saltwater and rain. But something different none the less.
They are also building a 180 hp electric outboard,

Great job on your toon . I love the innovation and resourcefulness.

Gull lake where my cabin is. (cabin is not actually on gull lake cant afford that)
Thanks guys for all the kind words. I really appericate at it. Boat came out of storage on Tuesday, drove it up to my cabin and managed to get it stuck in the snow.
Last night and today we managed to get 6-10" of snow so I'm off to the cabin tonight to knock the snow off the boat cover so it wont cave in.

Been making some progress on my 12v excursion build.

On the boat or the excursion. lol
Not much has been happen on the boat besides using it. Had to replace the trim cylinders and lines last weekend, burned a good 30 gallons thru it. Really need to get a new lower pitch prop for it thou
Excursion is slowly getting there.
