Did you have the thermostat housing powdercoated or is that paint? I'm trying to find a powder that matches the Merc blue.

Impressive work and cool build! Brings back a lot of memories when I did my 25 outlaw. That’ll be a fun boat when your done!

its paint i found this and it seems to match good. Be sure to pick up the metal cast base coat too!

Beautiful work and attention to details!
But I agree with Delsol, Be careful, a friend had a built 540 in his and that might have been the 2nd scariest ride I've been in over 80.

Yeah I have heard this a few times so I be careful up top but I am not the person to ride on the edge all the time. I bet when I pull the logs most of the engine time will be spent at idle, putting a round while I smoke a cigar . Incase I do get bit by the speed bug I made the wiring modular so I can lift and move it to another large hull if needed.
