Drive shafts are ready and assembled in boat. The become pretty heavy even tubes are carbon fiber, 20kg/piece with CV joints. CrMo end pieces and CV's are heavy, tube weight jusf few kgs.

Other innovation is here. I put O ring between each recess so boot can not strech and explode in high rpm. Think that these shafts are running in same speed than car half shaft if car is running 700km/h!!! BUT CV joints are used commonly in drive shafts too, BMW M3 for example and in race use they turn over 9000rpm them, my boat drive shaft turn only 4600 in full speed

I made innovation that I haven't seen before. Problem with CV joints are grease runout to rubber boot, then weight go up and centrifugal force broke boot and explode grease everywhere. If CV goes dry it will fail quick. Other issue is little leak between flange and CV body, my innovation resolves both. 0.5mm copper sheet both side of joint, only 50mm hole in center. Grease won't leak between flanges and can not go trough center hole because centrifugal force keep it in outer ring. Bad thing is that sheets limit movement like 80%, but it not matter because joint can make just much space they need, soft thin copper will shape easily.

Big and black goes in back door of extension box. No other way to get drive shafts in boat, they are 2325mm long! All engine mounts will need to remove if you try assemble them from upside to boat, it's not possible.

It barely fits past hydraulic driven raw water pump and engine frame.

Here is maximum steering angle, it's more than good for this type CV. Remember there go only idle power throgh when steering is on the edge. All extreme positions are checked and shafts keep 15mm endplay through travel, all good!

Engine control harness, only eight wires are needed to control Transmash and transmission, others are reserve.

Here is all electrics that come from boat to engine, no wire hassle in this boat. I think I can remove complete engine package from boat just under one hour if crane is waiting.

Very cool project! Have been following this almost from the beginning..
Have to try to see this in person at some point.

BMW used "fast boot" on their drive shaft CVs, the normal ones DO NOT hold up at higher rpm..
Google "GKN CV/Tripod Fast Boots"

We replaced a fast boot with a normal one, it expanded so much that it touched cars floor and exploded at little over 170kph.. :D

I can’t use fast boots, they have too little movement. I hope O-ring reinforcement do the job.

Tha carbon driveshafts don't have a rear bearing support system like a gimbal bearing?

Or am I missing something?

Drives don’t have any joints inside bronze ball, just straight prop shafts and thrust bearings. You are right, no gimbal bearing needed. Drive shaft can handle drive movement, just like front wheel driven car. Long shafts keep longitudal movement and angles low.
