Which leads me to my second question.
I got dry sump inner transom assemblies with these so no resevoir. At what height should I mount the overflow? Any idea?
Aslo what oil in the driveline gimbal?

yes, fill it from the bottom through the drive, right into the tank
The wet sumps used a tank built into the inner transom plate. You can mount a tank so the level of the oil stays in between the top and second bolt hole in the transom. Gear oil in the drive line carrier, same oil you decide to use in the drives. Torco, amsoil, newer merc gold.

Had to think about those pictures for a minute, it looks like the whole assembly was leaning up against the transom and supported by the floorjack on the propshaft, raised up/down tapped around and marked, then i realized you had that custom template to find plumb, center and X, the floorjack was just holding nuetral trim for the laser double check and pics.

Hey Dan if you want wet sump six inner plates with the reservoir, I have a set. I will trade u for the dry sump plates. I have a set of wet sump sixes that were converted to dry sumps that I will be selling . I would rather have dry sump plates. Tom
