That was my understanding. I called and asked for pricing on a new 28 with twin 6.2. They acted like it could be done, but they never did get back with me. It was more of a "down the road" idear........ figured I'd start saving now. I'd REEEEEEEEEEEEALLY like to buy the mold for the 28 if they don't plan on building any more. The 34 is sweet too, blows my mind they only built one.

It was around April 2007. I can't remember who it was, but I'm pretty sure it was one of the owners. I think I may have offended him when I asked if there was any updating to the mold. I know they like to keep it old school.
Do you know what it would cost to build a 28 with twin 6.2's? Or how much it would cost for just the hull? I'd still like to buy one a couple of years down the road.
Its no big deal, I'm not trying to stir anything up. I'm a huge fan and I was just curious. I hate to see so much potential go to waste.

I started the endless cleaning on the block first of the week after getting it back from Eddie Young , Who set my bearing clearances for me...
I started putting the shortblock togather tuesday night.. I got the crank in it & hope to get the Rods , pistons & ofcourse rings in it tonight..
I spent several nights a couple weeks ago filling the rings & getting them where I wanted them.... So the motor is coming togather nicely... I am a patient perfectionist so I do not rush something like prepwork & assembly , thats why I will spend a week or longer putting the shortblock togather....
( I am doing it in the evenings )
I have been doing a bit of glass work lately too... The rear hatch is getting a minor facelift... I say minor b/c it will look minor to most but major to me... I am probably 30 hrs into it & still have a few to go... but its almost ready... Also a little work in the bilge has been going on & I also had a pair of items for the fuel system come in last week.
I will post some pics. as things progress a bit further
