Are you going with a single in the 28' Saber ?

What drive did you decide on ?

What HP are you hoping for ?

Looking good

Jon

Hey Jon,
It will be a single with a XR ITS drive. (unless you know someone who wants to donate their spare #6 to a worthy cause )

I am hoping for around the 750 hp mark... The centrificals seem to be a bit easier on drives.... Or atleast that makes me feel better.

How is your project coming along ?

I can donate a nice picture of it so you can photo shop it on there and see how good it would look not to mention the safety factor.

Mine is going really well, currently machining alot of parts for the rigging. Getting down to the fun stuff.

#6's should all be in the classifieds next week.

Jon

while your at it go ahead & photoshop me a new merc. 850 & I will put it in the bilge..

Glad to hear yours is moving ahead.. I know what you mean about the fun stuff as compaired to the other stuff... I am getting closer & closer to that fun stuff you are talking about. For some odd & twisted reason I am one who believes that working on a boat is part of the fun... Which is a good thing b/c if it wasn't part of the fun many of us would be in major trouble !!

Here is the update photo of the day :

This one has been along time coming ! I must say that it takes some serious time & persistency to find the True centerline of the transom & making sure the cutout is Exactly square & btw it is Exactly square ! I am glad I went with the jig b/c it gives a bit of extra assurance... Even with the jig its still very time consuming & patience testing being that referance points can be tough...

The X dimension & the cutout is done as of a couple days ago..
Here is a quick mockup shot with the new valve covers... The exhaust is black with polished stainless marine risers so it all blends together well.... I also got a couple of the pieces of the intercooler & carb box back from the machinist today & now have a bit of polishing work to do on all that stuff.

Are you hoping to splash yet this summer? That is going to be a really cool package. Your boat is nice in pictures, but you gotta be standing there staring at it to realize how bad azz it really is.

Did you skip geometry class? Just a couple of intersecting arcs would have done it! LOL

GIT - ER - DONE !!
