I just checked the weather for the weekend in Plymouth, MA. 80+ and sunny with no rain and light winds. Good luck and be careful with that thing!

It Lives, Its A Live, I Tell You!!!!!

The BEAST IS ALIVE!!!!!!!! well with a 17 1/2'' X = 3'' propshaft height she did get right on plane. BUT!!! she has to much bow lift I think with the px5 30 which was reworked before me. SO since I brought everything but the kitchen sink AND my too spare PROPS. we cruised at 3000rpm at 40 =30% slip, 3500, 50gps = 24% slip. so tomorrow we will try a stern lifting herring 32 5 blade and a 32 b1 labbed. I think the height is fine, when I trimmed the drive out it would porpoise up and down. so I think its the prop more than drive height. If the height was to high it would not carry the bow. if I hit 60 at 3500, I'll be close tomorrow. oh and its LOUDDDDDDD!!!!!! with the 5'' dry headers. hope to have pics or vid but still breaking it in motor and drive. KONRAD ACE looks the balls hanging off it. OH the few wakes we went over, were like a ripple. these are a GREAT boat, just wished I ordered a non powered one back in 1990. but I had a lot of fun in the baja too. I just wished they put them together like these SABER's. I will post more and pics will have more time sunday for pics, plus the ones over the build. Art

Congrats to the splash!
I know exactly how you felt after sooo many months of restoration.

Those slip are pretty high...
I had very high slip my self til I tested a non labbed bravo.
Intersting to follow what happens when you change props.
Good luck on the nrs.

Some pics would be much appreciated...

I tried the other to props and have figured out 3'' is too high. I am going to space it down to 4''. and that should be fine. what I don't get is the other boats that friends have and are running in the 3 to 3 1/2'' with ITS drive, imco lowers and are working fine. at 4'' with my box =4 2/3s''. that konrad ace looks so cool as you can see in the video. pics coming.
