scottie150 - You have done such an incredible job on that boat. It's amazing. I love it. I hope you can enjoy it soon out there. Good luck.

Alan Ray is awesome to work with- I told him what I wanted and he shipped it to me. If you are thinking about doing it make sure you have about 3 friends handy with a lot of beer- its a real pain in the a$$ to do. I am continuing on the going backwards theme with my boat- I stripped all the wiring and gutted the engine compartment with exception to the gimbals and steering cable. And here is a question for all you experts out there(eddie)- in the engine compartment at the bottom of the bilge running forward next to the lower fuel tank are some heavy guage wires that looked like they were hooked to the battery, any idea what these are for? I have no idea- anyone? |

pics from today- the first one is the dash with my shifter installed- the second one is the bilge- in process of stripping all the components so I can paint.

These are the bilge after its stripped. Hopefully this week I will get some time to prep- I am going to find someone in town to do some fiberglass work, since I got it back down this far I might as well get it fixed the right way.

I think you will be happier in the long run if you just get things done right the first time. Your project is unbeliveable. I get bummed about trim rams while you are doing a full-on resto. Can I borrow some of your patience? That bilge is going to be so pretty after you get it done!!!

Around here its hard to find anyone to do the work- thats why I have ended up doing a lot of it myself. I have zero patience, thats why I bought another boat last year!!:evilb:

i know mine had wires that went under the back seat to jump or hookup a charger to if your batt's went dead so u can run open the hatch. ps. scottie150, your this far so check your cork gasket on the transom assembly's, easy to do now, or should i say easyer, nows the time while everything is out. did mine, not a big deal.
