i know mine had wires that went under the back seat to jump or hookup a charger to if your batt's went dead so u can run open the hatch. ps. scottie150, your this far so check your cork gasket on the transom assembly's, easy to do now, or should i say easyer, nows the time while everything is out. did mine, not a big deal.
Scarabfun- thanks for mentioning the cork gasket- but like I said I am on my going backwards plan so I already did those a couple of years ago- are you redoing your boat too?

yep , went through everything back there this year, engines, rebuilt the transom assembly's, added imco full hydrolic steering. still cheaper than a new boat & probably better built. quite the project over the winter, just got the engines in this past weekend so have her going soon. the weather is still crap here so not a real big issue.

If a battery charger is placed forward of the engine compartment (which was the only way...) those wires would be for that. I have a complete wiring schematic that I made for my rebuild, USCG approved and with triple instalation, six batteries, and an unreal charging system where you can read what you have left on your batteries as well as what was charged. Let me know if you want it...
