Where are all the p29's and what power ?

Removed the rails from the bow along with the non ski (nice'n smooth), removed the ladder from the swim deck and put new non-skid Reads" " SCARAB below: caution don't bust your ass". New cockpit interior and working on the cabin this winter. Reworking the motors to SBC 427 naturally aspirated to get to 550-600 horse as well de-rigging the engine compartment and having it painted and cleaned up. Any comment on the Power? I know there is a 434 with Pro Chargers out there and would love to here from him on how his handles.

i would like to know a story about the design of the cabin's colors, yuck... I've had the seats, back rest and pad up front re done in solid red and yellow. Plan on this winter replacing the white headliner and side liners with a yellow velvet type material, we will see for the interior guy doing says it will look great.

Nice job on your P-29. Like the idea to remove bow rails! Streamlines it, and race boats should not have bow rails anyway ! Did you run with the big power yet ? I always wanted to try something like that with mine, but 78 mph aint bad for a 29 V with mouse motors. I know the guy from Mercury that had a lot to do with the design of the Black Hawk and putting them on a P-29. He mentioned that I would have to put extention boxes on to see 100 plus. Said I would run out of boat or kill myself. PM me if you want and we can talk.

Mark, We did get it in the water with 550H/600Torque. 80ish at less than 2/3 throttle and about 4700rpm. Busy holiday and too rough to finish dialing in. That was all with 1:65 gears, in the process of changing those to 1:50. I believe Gary M that use to be with Merc is who you are talking about and he has some extension boxes for the boat as well longer tabs i would like to get a hold of.
