Looking at how they cut into the boat I would guess to say they were showing the different construction materials/methods used in the deck vs hull vs transom to help train people how to estimate repairs. Just a guess. It sat for over a year before it was cut into. I was surprised the fuelie small blocks and Blackhawks never walked off. I assume the motors were toast the first winter as I imagine no one drained the blocks. Boat was uncovered the entire time it sat in the lot.

Anyone know anything about the below listed P29? I'm curious about the motors and the drives. Is that a secondary fuel tank under the back seat?

Guy that used to own it was a member here. Nice guy. He worked for a car dealership, as I remember. I had talked to him several times when I had my non- P-29 29 around 2001. The boat ran pretty well as I recall. He ditched the Blackhawks (which was a mistake in my opinion, because there werent enough prop choices given the power he was building/built, again, as I recall. If you do a search on here you might be able to scare up his memeber name and get a hold of him. I have killed a lot of brain cells since then so I dont remember all the details.

I called on it probably two years ago and it was sold. I did see that under the seat and wondered myself what that was.

What's the "P" stand for on the P-29? Does anyone know?

Im just guessing but I would think that it correlates to racing. Probably a organizations classes. I see many race boats with letters and numbers.

Anyone thinking of selling a p29? I've been thinking of getting one to replace my 31. I'm crazy for thinking it after I just replaced the transom on mine and rerigged it.
