502 if you are having any problems finding parts for your KAAMAs let me know I still stock all of the bearing and seals for them.

Whatever happened to the molds to cast the actual housings? Or what if you had to replace one of the gimbal ring things

Many years ago when I was hunting for boots I'd heard this place ended up with a lot of equipment. Never verified with them if that was true, but I did ask them about boots- they didn't have any. Maybe you know, if not it might be worth a call to see what they actually acquired.

No I had the original boot mold but the shop that was building them went out of business and the mold was gone someone told me that it was sold for scrap metal what a # shame I was so pissed off because I owned the mold. The only good thing was they had just shipped me a patch of boots that they wanted to get paid for but you can guess how that ended.

Not just the boot molds. I remember hearing that sad story from you years ago. I'd heard France Helices bought some parts.

Wasn't there some talk that a famous boat guy with the last name that starts with a "C" was thinking about reviving the brand several years ago?
Did that just fizzle out or something else happen?

Just to keep the thread going while waiting for updates, here is the reply I just got from France Helice

"we are sorry to inform you that all the remaining *kaama inventory was sold approx. 10 years ago to an austrian company.
unfortenately we do not have the buyer adress because the company who sold theses parts was a subsidary company which has been closed and all documents
concerning the kaama drives where detroyed about 8 years ago"

"*
the manufacturing equipment has been destroyed because it was in poor shape and need to be rebuild
*
the machining drawing have been transfered to the Austrian buyer."

That would be my guess. I know GM is making boots. I've never asked them about anything else.
