Just talked to the owner. He's sending pics and vin in a few.
The boat isn't exactly what I expected. He stated it is a flat deck raceboat, but it does have the front setup for a cabin (no extra bulkheads), there is two bow hatches and the side windows were cutout. This suggests a pleasure model, no?
He was told "this is one of the rare scarabs" (whatever that means).
He does think this was a kevlar boat. Stated something about some yellow being visible in the construction. Need to look into it more.
Again, this is a stripped 30' 1978 Flat deck setup for twins. Curious to see the pics and the VIN.

VIN does start with a W.
Take a look at the pics. Stripped as expected but not sure if this is even a model that was raced. Is the boat worth $300?
