You had to pull the crank pulley off to remove the engines.

Yes it makes it so you don't have to put the tabs down as far to help stabilize the boat witch means less tabs more speed.

Is that the location that would be best on my 26? I already have a set, just want your input on location. I put them on my Checkmate there, but halfway between level and the bottom of the boat. They seemed to work good, but you know more about Scarabs!
