Heath is becoming almost as bad as Wayne. But I think Heath is behind by 1 powerboat, but Heath does have the sailboat. :lolhit:

it looks like the deck isnt attached, was it rigged and running when the gelcoat owner who lost interest got it ?

throw some interior structural glass/stringer/cabin/engine room pics up of (blair-hull#3) when she's spruced up after that long trip in bad weather.

the trailer looks great, your obviously thinking thru bunking t up real good.

can't wait for paint on blair-hull#2

I peeled the carpet up in the back of the cabin. The floor seems solid.

The deck isn’t tabbed, just screwed down like normal.

I think the guy I bought it from ran it for a few years before he took it apart. It was a good looking boat in its previous life.

Here’s some photos of the boat before the guy I bought it from did the gel work. It looked good but it was a wrap..

LOL Patrick. Unlike Wayne’s collection none of mine are currently seaworthy. 😀

We cut out the exhaust holes in the transom (I reckon we’ll run thru hull exhaust.😆) Also got the engines and drives out, k planes off. I covered all the exposed wood in the transom and other places with epoxy. Gonna try and get the transom and engine compartment painted in a few days. Here’s a few more photos if the cabin in the donor boat..

Got some more done in last few days. We got the bottom of the hatch painted Friday.
Also prepped the arch and sprayed it with slick sand. The drive boxes have some pinholes in the castings and I’m gonna repair those and paint the boxes white. Also next month will be 5 years since we pulled this boat home. Well after priming and block sanding the outside of the transom over the weekend, we painted it today. Feels good to see some colors on the boat...

That’s what I’m talking about brother!!!

And you’ve built a boat that’s far and away better than anything that ever came out of the factory.

Hats off and much respect to you Heath and Company!!!

Thanks fellas. I know you guys have been waiting a long time to see this thing painted and going together. Me too. I hope to get much more paint work done in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.

Heath what kind of paint are you using? I've been reading about what paint everyone suggests for drives, above and below water level non stop for weeks and it seems to be the internets favorite subject to fight about

We use sherwin williams ultra 7000, been with sherwin williams for 31 years, always gotten good service with them. We painted my 30 foot scarab with this stuff (bottom and all), it's been to the bahamas three times, once stayed in the water for more than a week. Also been to gulf shores alabama probably 6-8 times. No sea growth, and no corrosion (except for where my trim cylinders were already previously corroded. I have full faith in it. I'm sure awl grip and the like is probably "more durable" in a marine environment, but I'm not gonna beat up my boat. I'm gonna take care of my boat. :)

Here's a drone shot of my 30' in bimini a few years ago..
