It’s been crazy at the shop the last few weeks, very busy. Still have not painted the engine compartment yet. But I have spent some time ordering parts for the engines and rigging. The fuel switches are here and I am also starting to put the blower hardware on the engines. Nickerson carburetors is building me 4 Holley carbs tuned to go on this set up. Also have a guy lined up to do the upholstery work.

Needless to say, splash day is it going to be whenever splash day is. Not looking like this season at this point. Not going to rush it. Of course that goes without saying LOL

Thanks friend. Today is a holiday in the US. The Fourth of July. Traditionally a big boating holiday. I honored the holiday today by “boating” in my bilge today. Good times!

After spending ten hours over the weekend sanding the bilge, here’s one final coat of urethane primer. (After the last two what I thought were final coats) also I filled in the holes in the stringers that were going to be the mounting holes for the fuel water separators. Also hole sawed some 3/4” drain holes on each side of the bulkhead for the cockpit to drain to the bilge. We plan to paint the engine compartment tomorrow. No telling how many hours I have in this bilge. I want it to be slick and therefore easy to clean if it ever gets dirty..

Yep, I thought of cropping that little curtain out but I'm keepin it real LOL
It's already sanded out and gone. What's gonna be fun its not hanging any curtains painting in there. You can't see diddly squat.
