I used 3m panel bonding adhesive (epoxy) to bond the liner and deck together on my 30 footer. It works well. The problem you run into with stringers/transom etc is that the epoxy will grab to poly, but poly won't grab to epoxy. So wherever epoxy is used, poly should not be put back on it. With this in mind, I just go back with poly, it's everywhere else on the boat and is plenty strong.

That is true, I have been using West system 105 resin so it does not give me a problem. Have you had any issues with the bond from the deck to hull on the 30?

We’re starting to get some time to work on the boat. Got back there tonight and prepped the hull to replace the front cockpit bulkhead. Don’t tell anyone but we used a chainsaw to clean out the rotten wood out of the channel. Worked really well, and very fast. I thought I had some wood but all I had was 1/2”. We’ll get back on it Thursday when we have some wood. I set up my laser at the back of the boat and am shooting through the braces and some plastic pieces taped to the braces with holes drilled in them for the laser to pass through. Notice how the original center engine bay stringer is not very straight.

It's kinda funny, one minute you're cutting bits with a chainsaw :silenced: and the next minute you're lining things up with a laser. One extreme to the other....:)
Nice to see you've got some time to put in and thanks for posting, I'm sure there's a lot of followers on this thread. RR |

It’s slow go working by yourself. I got to the forward cockpit bulkhead fitted today. These sheets are heavier than they used to be. Hope to get this tab in tomorrow.
