Thanks, we smiled when it was over, Shon and I are standing there in the cockpit holding on for dear life on those speed runs, hoping a drive or engine doesn’t let go. (I don’t have the best luck) would be bad for a prop to cease turning at those speeds. I was watching the speedo the whole time approach 82 83 84 85, I was like, I’m not pushing my luck any further! lol But there was more there. When the seats are installed I want to try some 33 or 34 pitch. I would like to see 90mph at some point.

What a great feeling to have it all pay off, lots of hard work here. If it's a bullet proof setup and runs like you are showing, I wouldn't change a thing! (Sure, play with props, but the engines seem really healthy) Awesome work, beautiful boat, and awesome results. You have to be proud.

thanks a lot. I appreciate it. It’s been a longtime coming. I feel pretty good about the setup too. Drives and transmissions have maybe 15 hours on them, port motor 22, starboard 32. Everything’s pretty fresh. Just gotta get the rest of the upholstery and wiring done. I worked on that a few hours this morning.

Thanks, The all out speed run was actually after this video. I dropped Shon on a pier, he videoed a few passes, then he got back in and on the way back downriver is when we really laid into it and saw the 85.5 mph

how many hp per engine you got again? That is fast for that hull !!!

We're think around 700hp. We didn't dyno the engines.

I’ve been doing some wiring the last few weeks, got the instrument lights wired in. During the spied run a few weeks ago, we experienced more vibration than with the 5 blade props, I noticed a few engine vent screws had backed out. Also noticed that the locknut on the port steering linkage had backed off 2/3 of the way. I put that back together with the help of red loctite. I’m sending these 4 blade props off to try to get a little cup or pitch added and get them balanced and polished. Also letting the port motor down 1/4” as the spark arrestor has been making contact with the hatch. It clears if the hatch is 1/8” above flush with the deck but that bugs me so I’m letting it down.

Any new updates? I miss 'em

I’ve been busy with other things the last month or so. Winston painted the uhoh on the spark arrestor a while back. I sent the props to cool breeze props at Loto. He balanced them, added a little pitch and polished them. They’re just about done. Upholstery is coming along. Here’s a photo of the starbd cockpit panel…

George at Cool Breeze does good work, I was not sure how often he worked on big cleavers. Was the lock nit tight to begin with? I've never had one come loose before. That could have been a bad chain reaction if it would have come off.
