The boats covered up for the winter now in the building next door. Walking by it the other day I figured I’d check the “toe” on the drives just for kicks and giggles even though I’d already checked it. Turns out I had set it exactly 1” too far in. Woops. It’s been like that for two years.

Maybe with that set correctly, left engine ignition timing advanced slightly (I think we may have left it slightly retarded as it was a little low on power when we laid into the throttles back in early October), and a little choppier water conditions, we’ll be able to get 90mph out of it, making it one of the faster slow boats around lol

Since they are spinning in it is most likely even more than 1" when loaded, negligible id bet. Great catch, it's always the small things

Boats been in hibernation here next to Kelly Cooks Cigarette. Props showed back up yesterday from Cool Breeze at LOTO. Waiting on a trim cylinder from Arneson for the left side. Few things to do and she’ll be water worthy. Looking forward to being on the water this season

The trim cylinder just started leaking?

The left cylinder has always been bad to gradually leak down while in use. It doesn't leak externally, just seeps past the O-ring internally. I've replaced O-rings several times, tried over-sized O-rings. Tried cleaning up and honing the inside of the cylinder, etc. No Luck. Apparently, the bore is wallowed out in the area where it sees most usage. Rik is sending me a new left cylinder. Right side never been a problem.

Hard for me to wrap my head around it being ten years!
