Lots of work, should be fun.
Atleast you and your support crew know what your in for. Jon |
The cradle is too wide to push much further forward. It could stand to go forward about 4-5 more feet to be balanced better. We made it that wide so we could go further back with it later when we get the engines and drives in. Also the hull will be lighter in the front when we pull the deck off as most of the deck weight is out front. Hopefully it will balance better then. So to answer your question its further back than the center of gravity would like at this time.

KV stands for KAAMA version the KV was years before the TV show that's Betty Cook's KAAMA race boat. And that's from the Man who built the brand.

Hi Dan. My prior post about KV was short for I did know anything more than what it stood for from Craig many years ago at your shop. Thanks for the info. If I remember right didn't they manufacture Kaama in you building? So many people thought it stood for Kevlar version. As I get older I have become much more interested in history and the boats you are redoing. Brownie bites on Powerboat nation are so cool. Did you sell the 26? Take care Les

That looks like the old Merc. external steering bracket mount the big problem we them was the were made of alum. If you want to go back to the number II speedmasters I have a pair one needs some work, the special edition badge was on all of the KV boats from what I remember.
