What part are you taking about with the little gutter in the flange?

hblair 03-19-2019 09:44 PM

The small aluminum gutter that goes around the perimeter of the engine compartment opening in the deck to catch water that makes its way in around the outer edges of the boat hatches.

Got the port grid out of the engine compartment. Thanks Mike for the heads up on popping the grid out rather than grinding. Actually comes out pretty easy when you get under it.

Awesome! Glad to see someone else putting In mega hours in on one of these things. That first ride with no issues is going to be a great feeing

We got the rest of the grid out this morning. Just gotta trim where the stringers were, remove the liquid nails(?) that held the 2X2’s in place and we’ll be ready to start glassing new stringers and bulkheads in.

Also, no rot to speak of in the engine compartment. The 2X2’s were wet but not rotten and here’s the pad the bulge pump screws to. Lowest part of the boat. Not rotten, go figure.
