Oh,maybe I was misunderstood
We know its not one of the originals that was used in the show
There is no way it could be one of them
what we are wondering if it was one of the 100 (this was mentioned way earlier in this thread) that were made that looked like it

Does anyone know where to get the engine covers used on the Miami Vice boats? I am redoing my 30- and I was going to repaint it like the Vice editions. Also need radar arch.

Thanks

Diddo on the engine covers. I'd also like to get the middle cleat/deck rail if anyone knows where to get these.

As far as the arch, search the site, I recall reading a post where someone will make one, but they're not cheap at all.

I cantacted the manufacturer that made the radar arches.

Free had them make a radar arch for him.
They quoted me a price of about $7000.00 to have one made.

Yep, Marquipt was the original manufacturer of the Arch for Wellcraft. They still have the blueprints for both (short arch and tall arch). It is made of welded aluminum (no seams whatsoever) I bought mine a couple of years ago at a little over 5k. Painted it myself, since it comes primed.

Default the real deal

The only 2 True Miami vice 38 scarabs left is Mine and the one in Germany. Mine was a 3 year project even before it hit the water. It was a deck off restoration, every nut and bolt inspected or replaced. All documents up to date threw Wellcraft. It is now in the water and rests at Bonnie Castle Resort and Marina In Alexandria Bay NY. Stop by and take a look!

I would like to see it again its been quit some time since I saw it.
Hereīs the boat youīre after...
Been since 1989 in Finland and confiscated by the Finnish IRS in real life too.
Nowadays itīs my friends boat..we both challenged each other at the IRS auction and the next winter it stayed at my shop as the owner didnīt have a warm garage where to work with it.
Dons personal boat used in the 4th season episodes

Bytheway this oneīs verified too by Wellcraft as they still at the time I checked could verify it (10yrs ago).
The one in Germany is stated as a 1990 model but no KVīs where made then anymore..hull number state itīs a 1989 so if you look closely at the season 5 episodes thereīs only one still shot of it. The rest of season 5 shots of a Scarab are older shots.
And the one in Germany has the optional interior which Iīve seen in another 38KV (non MV) and a 34 Ninja too.

theres also a rumor that this one in Finland was the Stunt boat and reinforced but another Camera boat is in Norway too.
So that makes 4 real MV boats.

I can go and measure them and make a drawing...not a tough job to do yourself either.
