Whats up with exhaust on the 22 scarab?
#1
I noticed when looking my exhaust tips from the behind my boat one tip is appears to be where it should be on the transom and the port side tip seems slightly off center. The exhaust appears stock its a 454 with corsa quick and quiets and no other holes or patch jobs on the transom......is this normal is did someone with "wall eye" vision install my exhaust??

Anyone? Anyone? Come on all it takes is for one of you with a 1995 or newer Scarab 22 to look at the back of you boat and check to see if your exhaust tips are centered........Please. Im dying to know if its just mine that messed up.

Yeah but on mine only the port side tip is on the outside of the swim platform mold in. The starboard side is directly under it. Is this a screw up ??

I know it doesn't match the molded parts of the platform. I always thought they were for the sb. But I did think they wrere the same on both sides. It's cold as a ba$tard out and I have the boat next to the back wall in my building, so I don't know if I can get you some pic's. I will try in the next few days. This brings up a good question. Are the holes in the standard bravo location? They dont go strait out. The Corsa pieces seem to have a angle then go out. pic's soon. Doug

Man it's cold with your shoes off in the boat! See what I mean with the offset and the Corsa's. If I went to different exhaust do I need some custom work? I use regular tip's with slip in muffler's. Doug

Hey outriggers, Thanks for all your input. That answers my question. i cant remember what my exhaust looks like under the swim deck. I just noticed that from the outside of the boat looking at the transom the port tip was off center compared to the starboard tip. I boat this boat as a repo so I just figured someone did a hack job on the exhaust install....but the transom looks stock and the exits holes dont look messed with.

Am I the only person who has a Scarab 22 with thru-prop exhaust? Well that's gonna change this spring...I picked up a set of Silent-Choice diverters...any advice on tips? The Rex-marine ones look pretty nice.
