i took my silent thunder off my 271, then put stainless marine manifold and risers on, it is barking like a big dog now!

the difference in plane time on the boat is dramatically faster

ohh, i had to wait an hour and a half for my ride because one of the starter solenoids went bad on the port engine. they got it fixed up though

yup, thats the one we took out. it had 525's with ITS and XR drives. We never opened it up long enough to really stretch it's legs. the paint job was beautiful!!!!! the only thing i did not like was...

on my 271, that would not be possible at all, the silent thunder box flattens out then and turns a corner then goes out as the rectangular exhaust port. I took it off completely.

i have a 2000 271 fastech, I pull it with a new 04 F150 Lariat with the 5.4L engine, no problems at all. My boat with a 502 Mag MPI with stainless marine exhaust is running about 67 in the chesapeake...

I currently have a 2000 271 Fastech, and I am considering a 2004 292 Fastech. any thoughts from anyone on the 292? the one I am considering has twin 6.2L merc's, the dealer is saying 75ish on gps....
