when i redid my transom i sealed the exposed wood...

when i redid my transom i sealed the exposed wood with fiberglass resin. that will waterproof the stud holes. i also did that to the key hole cut out

Yes. I cut the top off, dug out all the wood, cleaned then filled with Seacast. Capped top of stringer off with fiberglass over the Seacast.
