lol, yes, four years ago it was a wiped cam lobe, and yes the everything was primed and lubed.

Still dunno WTF happened, but I have a new 496 stroker as the result :)

Gen V to Gen IV Fuel Pump - Sea Pump or Not?

I had a 496 stroker built on a Gen IV block.
My old 454 mag was a Gen V with the fuel pump mounted to the sea water pump/pulley.

I plan on buying a Holley or Edelbrock 130gph mech fuel pump.

Oil Coolers - Which Runs Cooler - 1/2" or 3/4"

I've noticed there are several of the 3" oil/steering coolers which have 1/2" npt fittings, and Rex has the 3" with 3/4" npt.
CP has a 2" coooler with 3/4" npt.

Which would run cooler or more...

A Gen IV 496 stroker, 850 Demon carb on a Dart intake with Lightning headers.

So I flattened a cam lobe in my 454 mag.

I have a new Gen 4 496 stroker longblock built and was going to use some of the parts off my 454 to finish it (cooling, pullies, alt, sea water pump etc)....
