Stopping the DING-DING-DING Sound

Does anybody know how I can stop the "dinging" alarm when I leave the key in the ignition on my 2001 Chev Pickup? It drives me crazy. Can't even have it on "ACC" with the door open. There must be...

Re: Messy Oil Filter Removal

I use the "punching the hole" technique and it works pretty well on my 500's. They are easy to get at. If I were you I would remote mount them and put them right-side-up. I did this with my last...

Re: Bravo's on a 47 Fountain?

I've got 300 hours on mine - 500's. No problems. The way I see it, 15,000 lbs divided by three is 5,000 lbs per motor. Not really much of a load.

I also disagree about the center engine having...

Re: Fuel guage question

You will get used to it after a while. Just figure on filling up at around 1/4 to 1/2 tank. Do this a few times and you will know the level pretty accurately.

Re: Who owns the most pistons?

There is a radio station in Mpls/St Paul with a show on in the afternoons called "Garage Logic". The host, Joe Soucherie, calls this your "Cylinder Index". As long as it runs on some product...

Re: Thinking of buying a beater truck and installing a RE-fueling tank.

I used to haul gas in my pickup and fill my 42 Fountain at home. I had a 125 gallon tank with 50' of hose, a digital meter to keep track of the gallons pumped out, and a nozzle similar to the ones...

Re: How much to rebuild HP500EFI's

Thanks for all the info everybody. Maybe top end is all that is needed. They all run great, but one of them seems to burn a little oil. The motors were probably run 50% idling, 49% cruise...

Re: How much to rebuild HP500EFI's

I will probably pull/reinstall them myself. Is that price "per motor"? I have a triple, as in three of them, to do. Anybody give a quantity discount?

How much to rebuild HP500EFI's

My 2001 HP500EFI motors have 300 hours on them. I think it may be time to have them freshened up. What can I figure the cost will be to do this? Who can do this?

Re: 1997 Fountain History

Good buddy of mine. The boat spent most of it's time on the Mississippi River in Minnesota. Has not been used the past few years, the guy got into airplanes.

There is another, almost identical...

Re: Towing - 47

You need a 1-ton dually at the minimum. I think the new Fords are rated for 17,000 lbs, but that is with a goose neck trailer.

I tow my 47 with a 99 F-350 Dually diesel and it is a load. I...

Re: Scared to ask..........

Re: Can you tow with a cockpit cover

Do it all the time. Put the poles in to keep it from flapping too much. Also be sure the rear snaps stay snapped or the cover (snaps) will whip the crap out of the rail (powdercoat) and gel.

Re: Replacing tonneau cover

I have my buddy's 1997 42 in my building. It has the super-charger hatches with scoops. He had a real nice cover made for it. I pulled back the "Dust Cover" he had made last fall and took a few...

Re: ~ Towing High Speed ~

Re: 27 Pricing information

The thing is not worth anything. There would be very few people who, even if they wanted a Fountain, would buy it. Way too much work for most people to tackle. Tell them you will do them a favor...

Re: Best picture of you and your boat in flight

Them Fawn-tains shore do fly purdy. OK, I'm a little bias, but the beak boats sure do fly nice!
