The stern seems to be okay but the rear bulkhead does also seem to be bad. It is probably worth getting it done when you consider that to ship a 29 to the Cayman Islands costs about 5-6k.

A friend of mine has a 1998 29 Fountain Fever and the bulkhead at the front of the cockpit is rotten and fuel tank is leaking, what is the best way to deal with this?

I am sure I can get it over the 100 mph mark, I think the props will do it but just a good tune-up would likey get it there (needs an oil change now at the plugs haven't been changed in a year).

I'm not sure on the GPH but I expect about 140 - 150gph based on the old rule of thumb that a gas engine burns about 10 gals per hour per 100 hp.
