Question on my Kenwood head unit and use with iPhone

So in my 2000 353 I have the OEM Formula installed Kenwood KMR700U with the flip down face and the connectors.
What I can't get it to do is play off my iPhone 7.
I have a tune2air Bluetooth module...

Yeah, what does the boat do without tabs and the drives trimmed a notch or 2 out? Trim in to clear it up.
You do know that Formula sets the spacer in the trim pivot in a + trim out position....
