it seems fountain was having alot of issues with drive failure w/lh so from 05' on 27 & 29 come rh . 03,04 came lh . Lh was 1-3 mph faster from my experience . I have a 03 29 came with lh switched to...

Blown xr again i have a 29 with a 575 I've had the boat for a year first boat gone through 4 or 5 . boat runs left hand rotation . Switched to right hand this summer worked well until last week...

Did you try with your drive in with it out the boat is less stable
i have a 03 29' 575 when mine gets loose i trim down to 1.5 or 2 but keeping the drive in helps keep it stable

well merc sent me a new drive 2day and its on the boat now be back out tomorrow so i guess it wasn't that bad will really watch my maintenance on the drive hope it holds up Jonas see u on the delta...

yeah the drive i got from merc so it's got a warranty so i'll see what happens just don't want a repeat perfomance when it's up and running can't figure out why it broke

lower shaft is intact but the gears are gone and i'm assuming when the gears went it locked and caused the upper vert shaft to snap cuz it's in 2 pieces

Smitty r u saying jus rebuild the existing drive with beefier parts or just get a new one merc says the drive matches that engine but i've seen them blown with 525's

postive it's blown shop took it apart today the shaft was sheered in two the upper gears were ok other than the shaft it's pretty small but the lowers went and when they went it snapped the shaft...

blown drive don't know why other than maybe comming out the hole to get on plane boat so heavy have to go full thottle to get on plane still under warranty don't know if it's coved anyone blown 1 of...

my boat is a 2003 with the tabs all the way up i get 5300rpms running a 28 prop gps says 83-84 but trim down to 2 in 1-2 chop boat seems to run faster wondering if this is something anyone else has...

looking for some help with top speed ..... running low 80's with tabs up wondering if dropping tabs down will help or hurt top speed
