There's 10 inches of additional space measured from the timing covers to backside of the bench seat in the 292 SR1 vs 272 SR1 having B1's and BBlocks.

High 70's is very possible with 475 - 500hp. Both set ups running Hydromotive Q IV 24p - 26p.
You might also consider 2" Imco shorties...

Did you ever trade your props. I have a mint set of 25 Hydros pitched down (by Hydromotive) to 23's on my Formula 272 SR-1.
I rebuilt my motors (now 500hp each) and need a little more prop.

the replacment pump for your application will have to come from merc it will be the new syle oildyne pump with the internal reverse lock valve it will also say LOW FLOW on the box if you use any...

PM "BoatDoctor". He owns a 312 with ''whipple" charged 7.4 MPI's. He see's 87+ MPH (GPS) everyday. Though IMO, you would need to freshen up the heads before installing superchargers.
