you are right about that exhaust, I put a set of IMCO stainless steel 4" risers on top of the exhaust manifolds and just that made a huge difference. With the motor and boat how it is now...

Iron Man,
I pulled the carb and took it to Dave Lange @ fuelcurvewest. I think most of my problems are now solved. the Air bleeds on the carb were too small, the Power valves were 2.5's not 6.5s...

see I was told by the engine builder to raise the timing up, it is currently set at 36 and he said to run it up to 40 but no more, I thought that was a little agressive but he said it would be ok up...
